Abstract
  • This thesis wll review the author's understanding of psychological, biblical, and theological contributions to an integrated approach in marriage and family counseling. The author will discuss biblical and theological aspects of the creation story, the Fall, the image of God in man, redemption history, restoration, and marriage and family relationships as ordained by God. The author will then take the implication of such a foundational perpsective and apply it to a Christian and family system using the cognitive-affective behavioral therapy and systems theory in the incorporation of an integrated approach to diagnosis, assessment, treatment, and follow-up.
