Abstract
  • The purpose of this project was to discover the story behind divine calling to servant leader ministry through the recounted personal call experiences of a varied group of church leaders from within the Christian & Missionary Alliance denomination. The design of this study was a phenomenological mixed methods approach. It was determined from the research data that the essence of a call to ministry is a personal and supernatural encounter with the Holy that results in the authorization of, commitment to, and empowerment for a divine commission. The experience also pointed to the participants' personal relationship with their Creator.
