Abstract
  • The author sought to address the probability of increasing the transformative potential of a traditional African American Baptist congregation through worship. Specifically, the author implemented, observed, and evaluated the impact of introducing the worship arts (dance, drama, music, visual and media art) into the corporate worship experience. Ultimately, the author concluded that the introduction of the worship arts into the corporate worship experience has reinvigorated the worship spirit of the congregation and heightened the congregation's receptivity to change. Thus the probability for the congregation to realize its transformative potential both within and outside of the church has significantly increased.
