Abstract
  • The Baptist Student Union can be effective in the retention of junior college students. Students have needs that can be met by the BSU director (campus minister) being involved on campus by teaching a class. An orientation class was taught using ideas observed and researched by the director. Class time consisted of lectures, guest speakers, questionnaires, class participation, games and a video. The result was that needs of the college students were discovered. Some of the needs had been met, some had not; however, it was discovered that the BSU can make a difference.
