Abstract
  • The purpose of this project was to equip a selected group of Christians at Sargent Baptist Church in Sargent, Georgia, to mentor new believers in personal witnessing. Participants were trained through discourse, memorization, and role-play during a six-week mentoring workshop on proven mentoring methods. Workshop curriculum included the need for mentoring, principles involved in mentoring relationships, mentoring practices, and personal witnessing. This equipping project resulted in the development of a select group of Christians who were each prepared to engage in a mentoring relationship which focused on personal witnessing and discipleship with a new believer at Sargent Baptist Church.
