Abstract
  • The question is: what are the differences between prosperity ministries and the Baptist Church? Why is it that they appear to be so successful? Is it temporal? Who actually reaps the benefits of their quips like, 'Name it and claim it,' or, 'What I confess, I possess'? The prosperity churches are referred to as 'mega-churches' because their membership numbers are in the thousands. However, they account for only one percent of congregations. What does the Baptist Church need to prepare for the members of the mega-churches who leave because they are disillusioned and/or disgruntled with the prosperity movement?
