Abstract
  • This project proposes appropriate methodologies and theological premises for designing and implementing new, prophetic churches sensitive to contemporary needs and shifting values of African American and ethnically diverse families. The project employs case studies, behavioral research, and classical marketing techniques to identify and address the needs and preferences of these families in founding the Imani Community Church in Austin, Texas. The church's unique design, based on core human values and goals, proves effective in attracting and reclaiming these families in its first year.
