Abstract
  • The ministry praxis thesis is that the formation of the preacher should involve more than an education about how to gather and disseminate doctrinal and biblical information and the development of skills in delivering sermons. It should also address the spiritual formation of the preacher. The praxis provided six clergy with an opportunity to deepen their understanding of the role of a rule of life and the practice of the spiritual disciplines in their preaching ministry. A three-day retreat provided the opportunity to participate in various spiritual disciplines and to share their reflections and experiences with one another.
