- Abstract
- This project proposes a team-ministry approach to empowering teenagers and young adults to respond to God by loving their neighbors. A pilot group of young people from Aldersgate United Methodist Church (Urbandale, Ia) serves as a team to develop a discipling model and a handbook to guide future groups. The acronym ESPRIT (Every Soul PRospers In Teams) assumes that 'prospering' souls are centered on loving God and neighbor through listening to the neighbors' needs, sharing time, offering talents, donating gifts, and inviting others into Christ's community.
