Abstract
  • Many small churches have lost sight of their mission outreach and responsibility for evangelism while struggling financially to maintain the church building and pay ongoing bills, and have thus turned in on themselves. The project methodology consisted of twelve basic training sessions that enabled participants to build trust with each other, to acquire confidence in sharing their own faith stories as part of evangelism and to be more aware and responsible for fulfilling the stated mission of the church. In addition, it also engaged participants in active reflection on the Wesleyan tradition with regard to evangelism.
