Abstract
  • While serving the community the local church faces the task of evaluating its own spiritual and temporal health and initiating changes that will promote health in areas deemed unhealthy. The author seeks to identify ten essential elements for health and vitality in local churches as modeled in the New Testament church. A survey was developed allowing for an accurate picture of the church in relationship to the ten elements that promote a healthy church. Concluding that a spiritual and temporal standard exists for this evaluation and changes can be initiated for healthy ministry.
