Abstract
  • For a 170-year-old church to become a Christian community that can survive to reach 200, it must discover its historic identity with an explicit purpose that is developed by its current members. This project defines the biblical and organizational theory assumptions that undergird the discovery processes, defines the processes, then implements them. The project was successful in meeting its goals and objectives but resulted in chaos breaking out in the church with the pastor becoming its chief victim. The pastor must assert truthfulness if he/she is to survive the revitalization process.
