- Abstract
- The project endeavors to examine the uniqueness of John's gospel for equipping modern-day believers to witness. A model for witness training and relational evangelism is developed from the evangelistic principles evident in John's gospel. Participants learn to interact in a personable manner with unfamiliar people and develop new relationships at that first encounter. Relational evangelism is tested in its most difficult situation. The quasi-experimental design for social research found in Handbook for Congregational Studies by Carroll, Dudley and McKinney evaluates the program. The project succeeds in increasing consistent lay participation in witnessing on a weekly basis.
