Abstract
  • The purpose of this thesis was to develop a training program that would pull together the essential elements needed for ministering to the spiritual needs of the dying person and his/her caregivers. The intended audience includes ministers and laity presently involved in or hoping to be involved in a visitation ministry with those who are dying. The method used was a twelve-hour training program. This program was offered both over a period of six weeks where participants met for two-hour sessions in the evening, and over a period of two Saturdays where participants met for six hours.
