- Abstract
- This project is an effort to develop within First Christian Church (Lebanon, Mo) an understanding of the mission God has for this congregation and how that mission is to be manifested in the program life of the congregation. The common understanding of mission is developed through a biblical study of the church, the unique characteristics of this congregation, and the needs present within the local and global context. Following the study sessions a mission statement was written. The last step involved committees using the completed mission statement to produce long and short range goals for the congregation.
