Abstract
  • This dissertation project was conducted to answer the question: How effective is Southeastern College in preparing men and women to be youth pastors? This project explores the rationale and the biblical guidelines for the training of youth pastors. It also presents a youth ministry concentration model designed for that purpose. Included is a study of the training of youth pastors in the Assemblies of God and more specifically at Southeastern College of the Assemblies of God. Southeastern's prior effectiveness in preparing men and women to be youth pastors is evaluated through surveying alumni who graduated over a twelve-year period. Others who are experienced in the field of youth ministry were asked to evaluate the youth ministry concentration model. The results of these surveys and their implications are included in the dissertation project.
