Abstract
  • This project focuses on the role that leadership and paradigm shifts play in congregational development. Two paradigms were introduced to a Friends church. Evaluation of whether the new paradigms created shifts in the congregations system in measured against the effectiveness of leadership. Personal interviews, congregation-wide surveys and personal journaling document that one introduced paradigm created a shift. One did not. The role of the leader is shown to be the key factor.
