- Abstract
- The expectations of some third world revolutionary governments with regard to Christian radio broadcasting demands the development of radio programs that are relevant to societal concerns. This thesis explores ways by which the Seventh-Day Adventist Church can adapt radio broadcasting for social change and evangelism in Ghana. Thus, a study of literature on the art of religious broadcasting, contracts by letters, and interviews and surveys were made to find practical and innovative approaches to contexualized radio evangelism. Out of a number of religious programming formats, this research developed four program scripts aimed at presenting the gospel while showing the government and the people of Ghana that the Christian church is committed to addressing social issues.
