Abstract
  • This project describes the development of a new model of Christian community based upon the theology of Pierre Teilhard de Chardin and Alfred North Whitehead (process thinking); the sociology of Peter Berger (inductive); and current research in faith formation by James Fowler and others (developmental). A handbook includes practical guidelines for organization and activities for program. The conclusion of the study shows that process thinking, inductive reasoning and faith development research provide the basis for a dynamic Christian community. Churches using this approach will meet the needs of seekers in the larger community who have turned away from traditional congregations.
