Abstract
  • This project employs survey and interviews with Mainland Chinese students and scholars to explore how and why they came to the Christian faith in the United States and how cultural difference affected their accepting Christian faith. Hence, in light of the Reformed theology of missio Dei (the mission of God), an evangelism and discipleship strategy can be formed for CEC to be more effective to minister to these Mainland Chinese intellectuals. The researches show that a holistic model of balancing and meeting both intellectual and emotional needs is a more effective way to minister to Mainland Chinese students and scholars.
