Abstracto

A thesis-project that espouses table fellowship as an effective means and venue of integral and contextual formation in Christian discipleship. A praxis that involves dialogical and critical reflection and discernment on the fellowship around the meal table, the table of the Word of God, and the table of the Eucharist. This undertaking aims to bear fruit in an enlivened Christian discipleship that is solidly grounded in the Word of God, enriched with cultural values, celebrated in meaningful Eucharistic worship, actualized in charity and solidarity, and in the work for justice and liberation, reconicliation and peace. An integral faith formation n the context of Basic Ecclesial Communities (BECs) is offered consisting of such elements as pakikisalo kay Jesus (partaking of Jesus's life), and pagsasalo sa jhapag ng kagandahang loop ng Diyos through pagsalo (partaking in God's bountiful banquet of grace through the exercise of collective responsibility, solidarity, and communion). This proposed program intends to contribute to the realization of the vision of the Philippine church--a 'Community of Christ's Disciples' and a 'Church of the Poor', actively engaged in the mission of 'renewed integral evangelization.'
