Abstract
  • This thesis aims to present some of Andrew Murray's contributions to missionary ministry. The geography, history, and ethnic makeup of South Africa, where Murray served, is reviewed. His early life, education in Scotland and Holland, and return to South Africa are highlighted. Murray's four pastorates with the Dutch Reformed Church provide examples of his missionary fervor, particularly his establishment in Wellington of the Missionary Training Institute and Huguenot College. His 250 publications, three of which are included, and his emphasis on a vital local church indicate Murray's global evangelistic concerns.
