  • The thesis seeks linkages between Christian and Anishinaabe ways. The Anishinaabek understanding of the creator, Gichi-Manidoo, their experiences and relationship with Gichi-Manidoo, are important topics to explore. Fifteen Anishinaabe graduates of a ministries program are interviewed on a range of topics. The phenomenological qualitative research methodology is uniquely suited for exploring such insights. Contributions from scholars of the early nineteenth century offer a dialogue with experiences of participants. In their worldview Gichi-Manidoo is present in all created reality, summarized in their prayer, 'All my relations.'
