Abstract

The purpose of the project was to lead a newly-formed discipleship ministry team at First Baptist Church, Franklinton, to develop a strategy for discipling new members from assimilation through maturity. The Project in Ministry has two major phases. The first phase was the developmental phase. During this phase, research was conducted to discern character traits of mature disciples and current methods used to help new members move toward maturity. The second phase involved leading a newly-formed discipleship-strategy team to use the character traits and methods gleaned from phase one in developing a strategic plan that would be used by First Baptist Church, Franklinton, to disciple new and current members to become mature disciples of Christ.
