Abstract
  • This study addresses the silence and denial of the Christian church on the epidemic victimization of women through sexual and domestic violence. It proposes a method to prepare pastors for ministry with victimized women. This method is based on the liberation theology of Juan Luis Segundo and employs the perspective of feminism. It is entitled therapeutic theology. It includes both theological preparation and resources to equip the pastor for the pastoral care of victims. Resources and techniques for counseling are included, as well as ways to sensitize and involve the congregation. Therapeutic theology provides essential preparation.
