- Abstract
- This project surveys and analyzes biblically personal management philosophies, focusing on Stephen Covey. One's purpose in life, rather than temporary goals or time-management techniques, best allows one to shape the future. Contrary to most modern approaches, one's purpose in life is not something one creates but something one discerns, not an extrapolation of one's desires but a deduction from the Scriptures. The project offers a practical strategy for composing one's own mission statement and proposes a model (called the 'Sabbath Cycle') for implementing and revising it, tested in a seminar environment.
