Abstract
  • Youth Discipleship and Pastoring, a Bible college course, was redesigned for Internet instruction. The object of the project was to meet the course objectives being achieved in face-to-face instruction. The course was taught in the fall of 2001. Student achievement of the objectives was measured through course assignments, as well as a pre- and post-test of student confidence and competence for youth ministry. Students in the online version of the course achieved the course objectives but exhibited a higher non-completion rate. The study showed the need for increased faculty-student interaction, and the need to intentionally foster community to enhance spiritual formation.
