Abstract
  • It is the thesis of this project that the causes of a measurable decline in evangelism and church growth at Trinity Church in Greensboro, North Carolina are multifaceted, and efforts towards renewal in evangelism and church growth must identify the key causes and propose solutions for dealing with them. Three areas are identified as contributing to stasis and decline; a shift in vision and values, the personality traits of pastoral leadership, and connection with the surrounding community. Three sets of diagnostic tools were used; the Transforming Church Index, Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and the FIRO-B Profile, Ministry Area Profile and Compass Report. The project proposes solutions to these discoveries through the development of a dynamic strategic plan.
