Abstrakt
  • The topic of this major project is narrative preaching, specifically my use of narrative preaching at the National Service Center of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship/USA [registered trade mark symbol]. The objective of this major project is to ascertain the effectiveness of using narrative techniques in a sermon by evaluating InterVarsity employees' understanding of a narrative sermon's theme, and InterVarsity employees' understanding of a narrative sermon's application. This project shows that narrative preaching is an art form that need not draw its presuppositions solely from narrative theology and that narrative sermons should accurately represent the content and narrative forms of the Bible.
