Abstract
  • The purpose of this project was to organize, develop and implement an outreach ministry with St George Baptist Church (Orangeburg, South Carolina). This rural church was in decline while the community was growing. Church membership and leadership questionnaires along with demographic data assisted the church to discover her identity. The Witness Training Institute helped train lay volunteers to share their faith in Christ with the community at large. In a three-month period, twenty-one people joined our fellowship. The lay volunteers grew in their leadership skills, self-confidence and ability to communicate their faith in Christ.
