Abstract

How do you go about constructing a church building for a new congregation? Does building a church provide a way of expressing faith? Should some disgruntled church members drop out during the process? Should there be any disgruntled members? Twenty-two people of Northside United Methodist Church were interviewed following their building program. This project explains how building a church building begins by building a church within the lives of people through a variety of methods including prayer. A list of six guidelines is presented for those congregations involved considering a construction project.
