Abstract
  • This project addressed the need for a practical and theologically sound understanding of the developmental steps that are involved in Christian spiritual growth and maturity. After reviewing scriptural teachings on spiritual growth, this project harmonized Christian writings concerning spiritual formation and secular theories of developmentalism to form a conceptual framework for the understanding of stages of growth in the life of a Christian. Each stage has identified tasks that must be accomplished and crises that must be faced in order to develop Christ-like characteristics.
