Abstrakt

This project was designed to discover and clarify the role of deacon in the Northwest Baptist Church through a nine-week course. The project was designed to train the diaconate to minister more effectively to the needs of the congregation. The role of the deacon as minister and how he functions within our church were given special emphasis in the training sessions. The study clarified the role of deacon through a study of pastoral care skills. The study provided the deacons with practical experience. The final phase of the project was a covenant of ministry which outlined their role and responsibilities.
