  • Different cultural and generational differences between overseas born Chinese pastors and American born pastors can bring conflict between them, distracting from effective ministry. The purpose of the project was to assess the value of using a covenant to enhance the relationships between these pastors in Chinese churches in the San Francisco Bay Area. Data collected by survey, personal interviews, and and interactive seminar showed an overall positive opinion about the use of a covenant between the pastors. Data also suggested that a covenant would be effective, if a relationship of mutual respect, understanding, and trust were already active between them.
