- The project examines the importance of spiritual formation in a local American Baptist congregation. The report presents a theology of spirituality emphasizing experiential theology, an historical reflection of Baptists and spirituality, and the inter-relatedness of these with the identity of the congregation using sociological data. The final chapter presents a proposal for spiritual formation for a Baptist church using Walter Rauschenbusch as a model, utilizing his spiritual formation and his writings on the means of spiritual growth.
