Abstract
  • The purpose of this project was to equip adults to mentor new high school church members in the First Baptist Church in Pasadena, Texas, with a view toward assimilation. using the equipping model, an eight session training module was developed and implemented. Upon the completion of the training, each adult was connected with two students thus allowing the mentoring process to begin. One of these students was a new church member and the other student was an established church member who was a peer of the new student.
