- Abstract
- This project measured the effect of a ministry development program on pastoral staff's commitment to the development of men and women towards vocational pastoral ministry. The eight-session program (including interview, group instruction, a six-part fable, individualized feedback, action-learning, and reflection) was based on Jesus' principles of leadership development as evidenced in his development of the twelve disciples. Sixteen pastoral staff participated in the four-month program and were pretested and posttested using both quantitative and qualitative measurements. The combined results of the mixed measurements demonstrated that all participants increased their commitment to time investment in developing people toward vocational pastoral ministry.
