Abstract

The local church can assist its members in the discovery, development, and deployment of their spiritual gifts if adequate tools are available. To provide one such tool the author researched the relevant biblical and contemporary literature. All viewpoints were considered and allowed to contribute to the project when judged to have biblical bases. Once the research phase was completed, the materials were assembled into a seminar format. The principles of adult education were followed and the project was field tested in a local congregation. Although members did identify their spiritual gifts, the impact on the overall ministry of the congregation will not be known for several years.
