Abstract
  • The study produced a curriculum for an introductory course in missions designed for seminarians preparing for the ministry in local churches. Research included interviews with consultants, an analysis of courses from other seminaries, and a questionnaire submitted to pastors, leaders of local church missionary fellowships, and missionaries. The curriculum contains objectives, a syllabus, and thirty lesson outlines which make extensive use of adult education techniques. Two pastors, two missions professors, and two mission executives evaluated the curriculum. Findings emphasized the importance of motivation, the necessity of a strong biblical foundation, and the desirability of a wide range of subject matter.
