  • Early Methodism was a movement undergirded by faith, fueled by the power of the Holy Spirit, and marked by pioneers of the faith who exhibited a spirit of entrepreneurialism. As the United Methodist Church, as well as other churches, continue their march through the twenty-first century it will be prudent to reconnect with our entrepreneurial past, and use the tools available to us today to transition aging and declining small churches into growing centers of vital, life-changing ministry. This book briefly explores the entrepreneurial spirit of the early pioneers of the American Methodist movement and how recapturing the passion of their entrepreneurial spirit and using proven small business development principles can renew and transition and aging and sleepy small church into a center of vital, life-changing ministry.
