Abstract
  • Based hermeneutically on Isaiah 42:1b, this project emphasizes two points: (1) education about global hunger, and (2) motivation toward its eradication. The author led fifteen persons in six seminars concerning hungry children in underdeveloped countries, justice and the world food crisis, peace and justice, systematic injustice and institutional violence, the impact of international banks and multinational corporations in the Third World, and the Christian's response to global hunger. Two instruments measured the project's effectiveness: (1) the participants' assessment which indicated enthusiastic interest, and (2) the author's estimate of each person's involvement within the seminars. These evaluations disclosed the readiness of the participants to work toward the elimination of world hunger.
