Abstract

The purpose of this project is to equip selected couples of First Haitian Baptist Church of Pompano Beach, Florida, with marriage mentoring skills. The project director selected married couples of the church, and he equipped them with marriage mentoring skills. These couples became in turn potential coaches with the ability to train other couples living with marital issues. This ensures a granted path to the transmission of values, skills, and character qualities, focusing on a lifetime marriage. The project director began to research the field of marriage mentoring and to identify essential skills. The result of this research drove him to design a workshop plan using the existing workshop models, comparing and analyzing them in order to reach the most effective training workshop in marriage mentoring. With the findings of his research, the project director completed the workshop by drafting and delivering a series of training sessions to equip the selected couples of First Haitian Baptist Church of Pompano Beach, Florida, with marriage mentoring skills. Experts were called as evaluators to assess all the various phases of the project.
