Abstract
  • This doctoral project developed a contemporary mission statement and a long-range plan for a medium-sized 'family' church in a small community faced with rapid commercial and residential growth. The project helped determine the church's mission to the community, focused the church's witness to faith in Jesus Christ amidst recent community transitions, and guided the church to be intentional about its future. The use of Kennon Callahan's 12 Keys to an Effective Church helped provide a model to formulate long-range plans for the future of this church and its mission.
