  • The purpose of this qualitative study is to explore selected benefits of a Christian men's mentorship ministry in the Jamaican context. Six men who were involved in Christian men's mentorship ministry programmes in Jamaica were interviewed to ascertain what social benefits, spiritual benefits, and personal development benefits can be derived from a men's mentorship programme in the Jamaican context. The study is a basic qualitative research. An interview schedule was developed and administered over a two month period, the data was analyzed, and benefits/themes identified. Four social benefits, three spiritual benefits, and three personal development benefits were identified that should inspire men, church leaders, parents, and policy makers, to be intentional in utilizing Christian men's mentorship as medium for perpetuating values and attitudes, leadership Principles, and diverting men from a life of crime and violence.
