- Abstract
- For churches to live up to their God-given potential there must be a spirit of intentionality present. The work of the church can become distracted by other standards. For the church to remain strong in the world it must be undergirded by the leadership lessons of Jesus. Using the Gospel of Mark as the theological basis for this study, the author shows that this spirit of intentionality is characteristic of Jesus as he conducts his ministry with a 'sense of urgency.' The challenge is for the church to regain this same passion in its ministry to the world.
