- The focus of this project is training laity for hospital visitation to augment the pastoral care in a naval hospital. The context is Naval Hospital Cherry Point, North Carolina, not-for-profit military hospital. The methodology used is pre-screening application, interview, lecture, and on-site training. The conclusion is that increased training and familiarity with the naval hospital environment will result in hospital volunteers rendering spiritual care to patients.
