Abstract
  • The purpose of this dissertation is to understand the worldview, attitudes, and beliefs of the Chinese diaspora in Africa in in the 21st century. A variety of methods (combining both qualitative and quantitative) with an emphasis on the ethnographic methodology eliciting emic views have been used to gather descriptive data. In addition, historical archival research was conducted to examine the Chinese and Christianity and the Chinese diaspora in general. Emerging cultural themes enabled the analysis of opportunities and threats to reach the Chinese diaspora in Africa. Missiological implications are derived from the findings of the research.
