  • This project discovered experiences and components of the Inner Healing Prayer for Small Groups course impacting inner healing of Doctor of Ministry students in the Ashland Theological Seminary Formational Counseling Program. A post-test helped determine participant experiences and the impact of course components on participant healing. Results show that all students had beneficial experiences; greatest healing occurred in participants' ability to trust God, embrace truth and forgive. Less than fifty percent had negative experiences; most negative experiences involved group conflict. The course component that best promoted healing was the action of the Holy Spirit; worship had the least impact.
