- Abstract
- In this Doctor of Ministry project, an ethnographic study was conducted to ascertain the potential causal factors that led to the distancing of the Indian American youth from the Church of South India in the United States. Consultations with professors and church leaders both in India and in the US, the proposal, ethnography, and the reporting spanned twenty-six months. Twenty constituents including the youth who left, youth currently attending, parents, and pastors were interviewed along with questionnaires. The findings reveal that the youth left because these congregations have been lacking active ministries. Recommendations for change are included.
