Abstract
  • The dissertation describes and evaluates a program for discipling new believers in the local church through a small group process. The theological basis for the product is on discipleship. The nature of discipleship discusses the context of covenant expressed in relationship and service. Research conducted in the area of small groups clarifies the nature and dynamics of small group ministry. The result of the research is a six-week program designed to teach discipleship through covenant relationship and spiritual gift discovery. The project consists of two groups of eight to ten people. The curriculum accomplished the desired result with minor modifications.
